Issue 1: Balancing national sovereignty and collective EU governance in a changing international order
Issue 2: Addressing socio-economic inequalities and regional disparities to strengthen social cohesion within the European Union
Hi everyone, my name is Karl, and I am honoured to serve as this year’s Secretary General of jlgMUN. Additionally, I will also be one of the chairs of the Council of the European Union. This will be my thirteenth conference (I can’t believe it’s been that many!) and my fourth time chairing. I am currently in grade 11 at the John-Lennon-Gymnasium, and I started my MUN journey approximately three years ago. MUN has helped me spark my interest in politics and organizing, which is why I am so grateful to lead this conference once again. Apart from MUN, I love baking, spending time with friends, and doing karate. I can’t wait to meet you all in June!
My name is Frieda and I’ll be one of your chairs for the CoEU. Attending MUNs as a delegate enhanced my interest in global politics, international relations and debating. As this will be my first time chairing, I’m excited to now switch sides and experience MUN from the chair perspective.
I’m looking forward to engaging and productive debates! Can’t wait to meet you all soon!
Hi everyone! My name is Sophia Poletaykina, and I’m honored to serve as one of the Chairs of CoEu at JLGMUN 2026. I’m currently in Grade 12, and this will be both my sixth MUN conference and my final one, which makes it especially meaningful to me. Over the years, MUN has been an incredible journey filled with growth, challenges, and unforgettable experiences.
I’m really looking forward to productive debates, creative resolutions, and the energy you will all bring to the conference. I can’t wait to meet you all!
