Since its first edition in 2024, jlgMUN has grown into a fixture of the Berlin conference calendar. Each summer it brings together delegates from across the city and beyond for several days of debate, negotiation, and committee work. Every conference has built on the one before it, in scale, in ambition, and in the range of schools taking part.
jlgMUN 2024 — Impact of Colonialism on Contemporary Society
Our inaugural conference opened at the Federal Foreign Office and set the tone for everything that followed. Around 100 participants took part across three committees. Later that year, jlgMUN was recognised with a prize from Stiftung Bildung, an early sign that the conference had found its footing.
jlgMUN 2025 — Strengthening Collaborative Communication for Sustainable and Inclusive Progress
The second edition opened at the French Embassy and saw the conference settle into its rhythm. We welcomed 150 delegates across five committees, a clear step up in scale from the first year.
jlgMUN 2026 — Generations in Transition: Building Equity in Times of Change
Our third edition ran from 24 to 27 June 2026, with the opening ceremony held at the Abgeordnetenhaus Berlin. We welcomed more than 130 delegates from schools across Europe and offered five committees, including the Council of the European Union, our first non-UN committee at jlgMUN.
